Information
Occupation Mascot

Zampa the Lion is the official mascot of Millwall Football Club, a fictional giant lion deriving his name from Zampa Road, which is the postal address of the club's stadium The Den, and from the club's nickname The Lions.

Zampa has been involved in numerous fund raising events, including running the 2010 London Marathon, raising over £13,000[1] for the Everyman Cancer Campaign which was founded by Millwall former player and all-time top goalscorer Neil Harris.[2]

Zampa is one of the only mascots in the Football League to run his own Facebook page, and regularly interacts with Junior Lions and other fans. He has enjoyed playful banter with the Swansea City mascot Cyril the Swan and has had a variety of different looks over the years, including a shaggy look, a vicious look and a more cuddly, smiling face.[3]

He has taken part in the annual Mascot Grand National and finished in ninth place in the 2009 race.
