Vanessa García Vega (born July 18, 1984 in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico)[1] is an Olympic and National Record holding freestyle swimmer from Puerto Rico. She swam for her native country at the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Olympics, all of which she has yet to win a single medal from three previous Olympics.[2]

García's bronze medal at the 2007 Pan American Games was Puerto Rico's only swimming medal at the Games.

At the 2006 Central American and Caribbean Games, García set the Games Records in winning the 50 and 100 frees.[3][4]
