The Technological Institute of the Philippines (T.I.P.) is a private, non-sectarian higher education institution.

T.I.P. Quezon City was awarded Autonomous Status, the highest possible award for a higher education institution, and T.I.P. Manila was granted Deregulated Status by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). In addition, T.I.P. has also earned numerous national and international accreditations and quality certification.

T.I.P. was founded in 1962 by Engr. Demetrio A. Quirino Jr. and his wife Dr. Teresita U. Quirino, who both shared a vision of education excellence.

It is headed by its third President, Elizabeth Quirino - Lahoz.

Commission on Higher Education

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) is a government commission that supervises institutions of higher learning. The CHED gives out appellations, certifies various titles signifying levels of quality, like Centers of Excellence or Centers of Development for qualified programs and Deregulated Status and the highest award which is Autonomous Status for qualified institutions of higher learning.

T.I.P. Manila and T.I.P. QC were identified by CHED as Centers of Excellence in Information Technology Education (ITE). ITE includes the programs: Computer Science, Information Systems, and Information Technology.

To maintain its competitiveness in the global ITE workplace, T.I.P. offers four industry-designed and developed programs, the CISCO Networking Academy Program (CNAP), the ORACLE Academic Initiative Program (OAIP), the International Computer Driving License (ICDL), and the SAP University Alliances Program.

CHED Centers of Development

In November 2009, T.I.P. Manila and T.I.P. QC were named CHED Centers of Development in Computer Engineering. T.I.P. Manila and T.I.P. QC were two of only ten CODs in Computer Engineering nationwide. Later that year, T.I.P. QC recognized as CHED COD in Civil Engineering, one of only eleven CE CODs nationwide.
