Steptoe Butte State Park is a 150-acre (61 ha) Washington state park located 12 miles (19 km) east of Colfax in Whitman County. The park centers on a 3,612 feet (1,101 m) quartzite butte named Steptoe Butte that looms above the surrounding plains. The park offers picnicking, interpretive signage, and expansive views from the summit.[2]
