Background

This album is similar to Spectrum's 2003 Release Me compilation, but emphasizes the earlier Decca hit recordings, with only 2 songs taken from Engelbert's 2001 UK studio album I Want to Wake Up with You.

Packaging and title

The title comes from the 1968 A Man Without Love album track, "Spanish Eyes," which opens this compilation.
