Rykene factory in Arendal
Rykene is a village in the municipality of Arendal (with a small portion overlapping into the neighboring municipality of Grimstad) in Aust-Agder, Norway. Its total population (2009) is 652, with 14 of those people living in Grimstad.[1] Rykene is located along the Nidelva river about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) north of the city of Grimstad and the same distance south of the city of Arendal.[2]
The local sports team is Rygene IL.
