Robert Markowitz (born February 7, 1935 in Irvington, New Jersey) is an American film director and television director. He has directed a number television films that include de (The Phantom of the Opera (1983 TV movie); The Phantom of the Opera) (1983), Too Young to Die? (1990), Decoration Day (1990), Because Mommy Works (1994), The Tuskegee Airmen (1995), The Great Gatsby (2000), The Pilot's Wife (2003), Word of Honor (2003),[2] Avenger (2006) and among other films.[1]

He also directed episodes Delvecchio, Serpico and the anthology series Amazing Stories.[1]

His last directing credit was the TNT television film Avenger (2006) starring Sam Elliott and Timothy Hutton.
