Pedro Regueiro

Pedro Regueiro Pagola (born 19 December 1909 in Irun, died 11 June 1985), is a former Spanish professional footballer. He spent his career as a midfielder.

He played for three Spanish clubs, Real Union, Real Betis Balompié and Real Madrid C.F. He became an important player for Real Madrid, playing 104 matches for the Spanish club between 1932–1936 and contributing to the early successes of Real Madrid. During those years, he also played for the Spanish National Football Team.

When the Spanish Civil War broke out in 1936, he played for the Basque Country national football team which participated in the Mexican League 1938-39 under the name of Euzkadi. Between 1939 and 1944 he played for Mexican club Asturias F.C. and won with this club – and together with his younger brother Tomás Regueiro – the first championship of the new created Primera División de México (1943–44).[1]

Besides his time at Betis, he played in every club for some time along with his more famous and also younger brother Luis Regueiro.
