State executive branch
Governor and Lieutenant Governor

Incumbent Republican Governor John Kasich and Lieutenant Governor Mary Taylor are term-limited and not cannot run for a third term consecutive term.
Attorney General
Incumbent Republican Attorney General Mike DeWine is term-limited and not cannot run for a third term as attorney general.
State Auditor Dave Yost is expected to run for the Republican nomination.[1] Ohio Senate President Keith Faber is also a potential candidate.[2][3]
Steven M. Dettelbach, the former United States Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio, is considering running for the Democratic nomination.[4]
Secretary of State
Incumbent Republican Secretary of State Jon Husted is term-limited and not cannot run for a third term as secretary of state.
Potential Republican candidates include State Senator Frank LaRose and State Representative Dorothy Pelanda.[2]
State Representative Kathleen Clyde is considering running for the Democratic nomination.[5][6]
Treasurer
Incumbent Republican State Treasurer Josh Mandel is term-limited and not cannot run for a third term as treasurer.
Auditor
Incumbent Republican State Auditor Dave Yost is term-limited and not cannot run for a third term as auditor.
