Now That's What I Call Music! 2 was released on July 27, 1999. The album is the second edition of the (U.S.) Now! series. It debuted and peaked at number three on the Billboard 200[2] and has been certified 2x Platinum by the RIAA.[3] The album features one song, "...Baby One More Time" by Britney Spears, that reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
