Munchery Inc. is an online food ordering and meal delivery service that allows users to order meals for same-night delivery from local chefs.[2]

Overview
Munchery is a conglomeration of chefs who offer continually changing menus to users. Chefs choose their dishes and source ingredients, and users rate the meals. Meals can be ordered up to 6 p.m. the same day, or a few days in advance. A fleet of drivers delivers the dinners within a chosen one-hour window between 5 and 9 p.m., and the chilled food needs to be reheated before serving.[2][3] After trying the meals, diners can post reviews online, and they can also directly message chefs through the site.[1]
Munchery serves areas of San Francisco, New York City, Seattle and Los Angeles.[4]
History
Munchery was founded in 2010 in San Francisco, California.[5][6]
In July 2014 Munchery was rated 9.3 out of 10 by the technology news website GeekWire.[7]
In May 2015 the company raised $85 million in Series C funding and was speculated to be valued at $300 million, though a company spokesperson did not confirm that number.[8][9]
In July 2015 the company announced a partnership to showcase sustainable meats from the fully integrated Belcampo Meat Co., normally available only in their own butcher shops and restaurants.[2] As of that same month, Munchery had delivered 3 million total meals since the service began.[10]
