Milo of Nanteuil (French: Milon or Miles de Nanteuil, Latin: Milone de Nantolio, Italian: Milo di Natoli ), was a warrior, crusader, and Bishop of Beauvais. He was the fourth son of Gaucher I of the House of Châtillon who had established a branch of that family centered on the legacy of his wife, Nanteuil-la-Fosse.[2] He combined an ambitious pursuit of ecclesiastical office with military service in Italy on behalf of the Pope, participation in the Fifth Crusade, builder of Beauvais Cathedral, and patronage of Jean Renart.
