Michael John Bennett

Michael John Bennett (January 8, 1860 – October 10, 1944), was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly.
Bennett was born in Clyde, Wisconsin. Occupations he held include school teacher.[1]
Assembly career
Bennett was a member of the Assembly during the 1887 and 1889 sessions.[2] He was a Republican. The controversial Bennett Law of 1889, which required that major subjects in all public and private schools in Wisconsin be taught in English, was named after Bennett.[3]
