Klea Pineda (born March 19, 1999 in Pampanga, Philippines) is a Filipino actress and reality show contestant who gained media attention as a finalist on the 6th season of StarStruck, a Philippine overall talent show broadcast by GMA Network.[1] Pineda was declared as the season's Ultimate Female Survivor after fifteen weeks of the competition.[2] Together with Migo Adecer, they each won Php 1 million cash prize, A house and lot from Camella Homes worth Php 2 million, and 5 year exclusive contract with GMA Network.[3]

Personal life

Pineda is a reality TV star, dancer, and actress who is known for her time on the Filipino program StarStruck.[4] She appeared during the show's 6th season, and finished as the show's Ultimate Female Survivor.[5]

In an interview, Pineda shares her plans after winning the competition.[6] According to her, one of her plans is to help her relatives and the next step is to put up a foundation for cancer patients on her birthday.[7] Aside from it, she is also hoping to move to her new house as soon as possible. Klea divulged in the interview that her StarStruck victory is the best gift she received for Christmas.[8]

She has also stated her desire to participate in beauty pageants and that her inspiration derives from the host of StarStruck VI, then Miss World 2013, Megan Young.[9]

She was born on March 19, 1999.[10] Although born on Arayat, Pampanga, Philippines, she was raised in Caloocan City.[11]

2015: StarStruck Journey

In 2014, Pineda auditioned for the return of the new season of the reality-based artista search StarStruck.[12] She was one of the "Top 35" hopefuls who were selected to advance in the next round called the "Bootcamp".[13] The first stage was the Talent Showcase round wherein they presented to the judges the talents they are most comfortable at.[14] The next stage is the Workshops followed by the Screen Test and lastly, the final stage for the semifinal round is the Director's Night wherein the Top 35 semifinalists faced different well-known directors of the industry to give their opinions and critiques and deliberate who would advance to the next round.[15]

The next round was coined as "The Door", where the hopefuls would determine whether or not they will still continue on with their StarStruck journey. Pineda was one of the hopefuls to receive the “Congratulations” message, meaning they will now go through the next round. The live show episode of the season then later revealed about the Top 28 Survivors. The Survivors were divided into two groups, the '"Dream 14" and the '"Believe 14". She was chosen to be part of the Dream 14.[16]

After revealing the two teams, they will now compete for the coveted "Ultimate Final 14". She was one of the seven chosen girls to be part of the Final 14.[17]

His journey to stardom continues until she has reached the finals.[18] On the Final Judgment, she was crowned as the season's Ultimate Female Survivor.[19]

2016: After Winning StarStruck

In 2016, she joins the entire cast of the prequel of the hit fantaserye broadcast by GMA Network, Encantadia.[20] She will play the role of Muyak, a pixie who will serve as a guidance to Amihan's daughter, Lira.[21]
