Jirandeh (Persian: جيرنده, (Tati: Jirindih; [1] is a city in and the capital of Amarlu District, in Rudbar County, Gilan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 2,616, in 754 families. Its residents are Kurmanj people; However, they speak Tati [2]
Etymology
In Amarluyi dialect of Tati language, Jirindih means the lower village: Jirindih = Jirin (Lower) + Dih (village, land)
