James McAdoo Keaton[2] (June 11, 1899 – July 10, 1968) was the fourth head football coach for the Howard Payne University Yellow Jackets located in Brownwood, Texas and he held that position for eight seasons, from 1935 until 1942. His career coaching record at Howard Payne was 55 wins, 19 losses, and 8 ties. As of the conclusion of the 2007 season, this ranks him third at Howard Payne in total wins and second at Howard Payne in winning percentage (.720).[3]
