Colossal is an upcoming Spanish-Canadian science fiction action-thriller film directed and written by Nacho Vigalondo. The film stars Anne Hathaway, Dan Stevens, Jason Sudeikis, Austin Stowell, and Tim Blake Nelson. Principal photography began on October 18, 2015 in Vancouver.

Plot
After losing her job and boyfriend in New York, Gloria moves back to her hometown only to discover how strangely connected she is to an enormous creature.

Production
On May 12, 2015, it was announced that Nacho Vigalondo was writing and directing a monster film Colossal for Warner Bros. and Voltage Pictures, which would fully finance the film.[1] Nahikari Ipiña would produce the film through her Sayaka Producciones.[1] Shawn Williamson of Brightlight Pictures would also produce the film.[3]
On May 19, it was reported that Japanese company Toho had sued Voltage Pictures over the film, because it had similarity to Godzilla.[6] A settlement was reached in the film's rights case in October 2015.[7]
Principal photography on the film began on October 18, 2015 in Vancouver,[3][5][8] which ended on November 25, 2015.[9]
