Chuwallani (Aymara chuwalla a variety of potatoes,[2] -ni a suffix to indicate ownership, "the one with the chuwalla", hispanicized spelling Chuallani) is a mountain in the Willkanuta mountain range in the Andes of Peru, about 5,300 metres (17,388 ft) high. It is situated in the Cusco Region, Canchis Province, Pitumarca District. Chuwallani lies west of the lake Siwinaqucha, south of the mountain Kuntur T'uqu. The river Chuwamayu (Quechua, also spelled Chuamayu) which originates northeast of Chuwallani flows along its eastern slopes. It belongs to the watershed of the Willkanuta River.[1]
