Beverly Roberts Gaventa

Beverly Roberts Gaventa is Distinguished Professor of New Testament Interpretation at Baylor University[1] and Helen H.P. Manson Professor of New Testament Literature and Exegesis Emerita at Princeton Theological Seminary.[2][3]

Beverly Roberts Gaventa matriculated at:

Gaventa joined the Baylor faculty in 2013. She previously taught at Princeton Theological Seminary, Columbia Theological Seminary, and Colgate Rochester Divinity School.[1][3]

She was elected president of the Society of Biblical Literature for 2016.[4]

She is an editor-at-large for The Christian Century.[5]

She is a ruling elder in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Waco, Texas.[3]
