Benson Mayowa

Benson Babatunde Mayowa (born August 3, 1991) is an American football defensive end for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the University of Idaho. He is of Nigerian descent.

College career
During his time, he played in 45 games at the University of Idaho, collected 67 tackles (47 solo), 11 sacks, 11 forced fumbles and had three fumble recoveries.
Professional career
Seattle Seahawks
He was signed by the Seattle Seahawks in May 2013 as an undrafted free agent. He played the first two games of the season. He was waived by the Seahawks on August 30, 2014 during final roster cuts.
Oakland Raiders
On August 31, 2014, he was claimed off waivers by the Oakland Raiders. On December 7, 2014, Mayowa recorded his first NFL sack against the San Francisco 49ers. He finished the season with 13 tackles and 1 sack.[1] Mayowa's third NFL season ended with 16 tackles, 1 forced fumble, 2 fumble recoveries and 1 sack after playing in 12 games.[2]
Dallas Cowboys
After becoming an restricted free agent, on March 18, 2016, the Dallas Cowboys signed Mayowa to a three-year $8.25 million offer sheet. On March 22, the Raiders declined the offer, officially allowing Mayowa to sign with the Cowboys.[3]
