Admissionales

Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'strict' not found. In ancient Rome, admissionales were Chamberlains at the imperial court, who introduced persons to the presence of the emperor.[1] They were divided into four classes; the chief officer of each class was called proximus admissionum.[2] The admissionales were usually freedmen.[3]
