The 2017–18 FC Akhmat Grozny season is the 9th successive season that the club will play in the Russian Premier League, the highest tier of association football in Russia, and their first as Akhmat Grozny. On 7 June 2017, the club announced that they had changed their name from Terek Grozny, to Akhmat Grozny in celebration of Akhmad Kadyrov.[1] Akhmat Grozny will also take part in the Russian Cup.
