The 2000–01 NBA season was Toronto's sixth season in the team's franchise.[1] Basketball Hall of Fame member Lenny Wilkens became the fourth head coach in franchise history. The Raptors finished with a 47–35 record, second in the Central Division. Vince Carter and Antonio Davis were selected to play in the 2001 NBA All-Star Game. In their second playoff appearance, the Raptors would win their first and only playoff series by defeating the fourth seed New York Knicks in five games in the first round. The Raptors, however, would lose in seven games to the Philadelphia 76ers in their first and to date only appearance in the conference semifinals.
