Walter Herron Taylor, III (July 5, 1872 – August 1, 1960) was the first head football coach on record for the Virginia Military Institute Keydets located in Lexington, Virginia and he held that position for the 1891 season. His career coaching record at VMI was 3 wins, 0 losses, and 1 ties.
