Vision is an IRC (Internet Relay Chat) client for BeOS. Vision provides the BeOS community with an elegant, fast, and a stable client to communicate with other users and make new friends around the world.
Vision is a free software, and its source code is distributed and developed under the Mozilla Public License. The community is encouraged to contribute to the project in any way they can; patches and bug fixes, moral support, friendly postcards, advocacy, a place for the developers to stay when in town, or just plain enjoying the software.[1]
Vision is the Main IRC application in Haiku and IRC channels contribute the most in the development of Haiku. Development Discussions and other queries are discussed in these channels. Vision is bundled along with Haiku and the Haiku version is set up in such a way that it automatically connects to the development channel when executed.
Haiku is a free and open-source operating system compatible with the now discontinued BeOS.

It is executed by clicking the icon. The main goal of the team was to create a fast and elegant IRC to make it easy to chat, discuss and solve queries. In order to do this, the design had to be simple and easy-to-use.
Setting up the application is very easy. The user may choose the network here, may change the settings and preferences can be customized on the setup screen.
There is a General Preferences Window where the user can change the color, fonts and can customize the app.
Then there is a Network Preferences Window where the user can change serves and add commons. User can update his personal details here and can add or remove nicknames.
User can edit, add or remove servers on the Network Data Window.[2]
Development History
Axel Dörfler was chosen as the lead developer for this project. He designed the application keeping in mind the goal to be achieved. Vision was registered on 5 February 2001. Axel reported a successful run of the application in 2006 and the software was frequently updated afterwards to make it even more simpler. Axel's efforts brought great results for the Haiku team and the Vision team.[3][4]
