Career

College and amateur

Sean played four years of college soccer at the College of Charleston.[1] During his time at college, Bateau also played for USL PDL club Jax Destroyers in 2012.[2]

Professional career

Bateau signed with USL Pro club Charlotte Eagles in April 2012 and was a regular starter in defense for much of the season, helping the Eagles to their most successful run in the US Open Cup beating Dallas FC in the process.[3] The following season Bateau was then snapped up by Thailand Division 1 League club JW Rangsit. After spending one season in Thailand, Bateau was on the move again, this time to United Football League club Stallion F.C., where he was ever present as the team's main central defender. Bateau started the 2015 season with another move this time to the Dhivehi Premier League to join B.G. Sports Club as one of four allowed international players.[4] In January 2016, he came back to the Philippines and signed for Global F.C.

International career

Bateau played youth international football for Trinidad and Tobago throughout his career, representing them at both the U-17 and U-20 levels.[5]
