Library at IIT Madras

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) is an elite engineering and technology school located in Chennai (formerly Madras) in southern India. It is officially recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India and is regarded as one of the finest engineering institutions in India. Founded in 1959 with technical and financial assistance from the Government of the erstwhile West Germany, IIT Madras was third among currently thirteen Indian Institutes of Technology (including 6 new IITs started in 2008) established by the Government of India through an Act of Parliament, to provide world-class education and research facilities in engineering and technology.

The Chennai Mofussil Bus Terminus or CMBT is a bus terminal in Chennai, India catering outstation buses.

Spread over an area of 37-acre (150,000 m2) in Koyambedu, this is the largest bus terminus in Asia[1] and is accredited with the ISO 9001:2000 quality certification.[1].

Tidel Park' is an IT Park situated in the city of Chennai, India. It is one of the Largest IT park in India. It was set up on the July 4, 2000 to foster the growth of Information Technology in the state of Tamil Nadu.

It has a built-up area of 1,280,000 sq ft (119,000 m2). with centralised air-conditioning and an independent power supply. The park provides state-of-the-art network connectivity with direct satellite uplink.
