Paragominas Futebol Clube, commonly known as Paragominas, is a Brazilian football club based in Paragominas, Pará state. They competed in the Série D once.

History

The club was founded on March 6, 2012.[1] because, according to the president of the club, Jorge Coqueiro, he wanted a club to play in the city's new stadium, Arena do Município Verde, inaugurated in January 2012.[2]

The club won in the same year, 2012, the Campeonato Paraense Second Level after beating Santa Cruz de Cuiarana in the final, and thus the promotion to the next year's Campeonato Paraense.[3]

Paragominas won the Taça Estado do Pará, which is the second stage of the Campeonato Paraense, in 2013, after beating Remo in the final. However, they were defeated by Paysandu in the state championship finals, winning a spot in the 2013 Série D.[4]

Stadium

Paragominas Futebol Clube play their home games at Arena do Município Verde. The stadium has a maximum capacity of 12,000 people.[5]
