Heshmatiyeh Prison (Persian: زندان حشمتیه Zendān Heshmatiyeh) is a prison in Iran, located in the East of Tehran.[1] It is noted for its political prisoners' wing.
Iranian opposition leaders in Heshmatiyeh Prison
According to reports, Iranian opposition leaders Mir Hossein Mousavi and Mehdi Karroubi, and their wives Zahra Rahnavard and Fatemeh Karroubi, have been taken from their homes by security forces to Heshmatiyeh Prison in Tehran.[2]
