Gustav Machatý (9 May 1901 – 13 December 1963) was a Czech film director, screenwriter and actor. He directed 17 films between 1919 and 1955, including Ecstasy (1933). He also was the screenplay writer for 10 films between 1920 and 1955.
He was born in Prague, and died in Munich, West Germany, where he emigrated after World War II and worked as a teacher in a film school.
