Daniel Brooks (born 23 June 1958) is a Canadian theatre director, actor and playwright. He was born in Toronto, Ontario.

A highly regarded theatre maker in Toronto's theatre scene, Daniel Brooks has a reputation for creating and directing cutting edge productions which combine fiercely intellectual content with theatrical innovation. His most popular collaborations include the solo shows of Daniel MacIvor, such as House and Monster, as well as works with Guillermo Verdecchia, The Noam Chomsky Lectures and Insomnia. In 2001, Brooks was the recipient of the inaugural Siminovitch Prize in Theatre.
