The name sweet lemon[1] refers to a Citrus tree (Citrus medica var. dulcis) and its fruit. Dulcis is Latin for sweet, and it comes to identify a lemon or lime that is lacking acidity in its pulp and juice.
It is possibly the same as the cultivar known as Mediterranean sweet limetta.[1] In Iran, the fruit is widely used and is called a “sweet lemon” (Persian: لیموشیرین). This fruit is often found being used in herbal medicine.
