Casper is an action-adventure game based on the 1995 film of the same name. It was released for PlayStation, Sega Saturn, 3DO, Game Boy, SNES, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance.
Reception
Casper received mixed to negative reviews. Aggregating review website GameRankings gave the 3DO version 72.50% based on 2 reviews,[8] the Sega Saturn version 67.00% based on 1 review,[9] the SNES version 55.00% based on 1 review,[10] the Game Boy Color version 54.00% based on 3 reviews,[11] the Game Boy Advance version 50.00% based on 1 review[12] and the PlayStation version 49.25% based on 4 reviews.[13] Sega Saturn Magazine gave the Saturn version a 70%, calling it "a decent enough effort with what is a particularly sugary film, spoilt by some frustrating flaws in the gameplay and action that is too repetitive."[14] Their next issue printed a retraction, admitting that Interplay had not sent them a review copy of Casper, and that the review was actually based on an unfinished version of the game.[15]
