The 2009 Kent State Golden Flashes football team represented Kent State University in the 2009 college football season. They competed in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) college football during the football season. Kent State competed as a member of the Mid-American Conference (MAC) East Division. The team was coached by Doug Martin and played their homes game at Dix Stadium. The finished with a record of 5–7 (4–4 MAC).
