The 1917 Washington football team was an American football team that represented the University of Washington during the 1917 college football season. In its first season under coach Claude J. Hunt, the team compiled a 1–2–1 record, finished last in the Pacific Coast Conference with an 0–2–1 record against conference opponents, and was outscored by its opponents by a combined total of 47 to 14.[1] Ernst Murphy was the team captain.
