Would You Like a Tour? was a concert tour by Canadian recording artist and rapper, Drake, starting at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh on October 18, 2013 and ended on March 25, 2015 in Brisbane. Produced by Live Nation, the tour was in support of his third studio album, Nothing Was the Same.

Would You Like A Tour? began two months after Drake’s fourth annual OVO Fest on August 4-5, 2013 in Toronto, Canada. Singers and rappers Future, Miguel, Jhené Aiko, Joey Bada$$, PartyNextDoor and the Weeknd accompany Drake as supporting acts during the tour during various stages, with other special guests making appearances.[2]

Background

On June 13, 2013, Drake hinted an impending tour, tweeting “Would You Like a Tour?” via Twitter.[3] On June 17, 2013, “Would You Like A Tour?” was officially announced to press and media outlets.[4]

The tour visited 38 stadiums and arenas across the United States and Canada, beginning on October 18 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and ending on December 18 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.[5]

Drake’s latest album, Nothing Was the Same, has already seen the release of three tracks including “Started From the Bottom", “Hold On, We're Going Home", and "All Me", which landed in the Top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100.[citation needed]

Nothing Was The Same follows the release of his multi-platinum sophomore album, Take Care, which earned Drake his first Grammy Award for Best Rap Album.[6]

After Future made negative comments about Drake and his album in a Billboard interview, on October 15, 2013 it was revealed he had been kicked off the tour. It was reported he was demanding $1.5 million for lost wages, as he was set to get $40,000 per gig.[7] It was later revealed that Future was never kicked off tour and that the rumors were just that, rumors. Drake confirmed that Future would remain on the tour, and that OVO Sound's PartyNextDoor would be featured on the tour.[8] On October 19, due to an stage malfunction, Drake's performance at the Wells Fargo Center was postponed, and its rescheduled date is December 18. On October 29, 2013, it was announced the tour would be extended to a European-leg with the Weeknd joining him for those dates.[9]
