The map of Prambanan Plain, the archaeological sites around Prambanan Temple Compound. Prambanan plain are filled with archaeological sites, mainly Hindu or Buddhist temples scattered in around short distance between one and another. The high density of archaeological sites around this area suggested that around 8th to 10th century CE this area was an important urban, social and religious center of Medang i Bhumi Mataram Kingdom.
