Bahraini opposition
Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'strict' not found. The Bahraini opposition refers to a group of political groups who are opposed to the government or the Al Khalifa regime altogether. Currently, the Bahraini opposition can be divided into the officially registered political parties, who demand reforms to the current political system, and the unauthorized opposition groups who seek the removal of the Al Khalifa regime. Most of the opposition is comprised from the Shia population of Bahrain.[1]

- Al Wefaq National Islamic Society
- National Democratic Action Society (Wa'ad)
- Progressive Democratic Tribune
- Islamic Action Society (Amal) - recently banned by the government
- Al Wahdawi
- Al Ekha
- Nationalist Democratic Assembly

Since the uprising, all opposition parties have boycotted parliamentary elections and have continued a street protest movement to demand reforms.
