The 2023 MAMA Awards was an awards ceremony held on November 28 and 29, 2023 at the Tokyo Dome in Japan. It was organized by CJ ENM, and broadcast through its music channel Mnet.

Background

On September 21, 2023, CJ ENM announced that the event would be held in Japan at the Tokyo Dome. It was also announced that the theme for this edition would be titled "One I Born" carrying the meaning of "'I' and 'MAMA', the only beings in the world with infinite possibilities, meeting and becoming a perfect 'One' through positive energy".[1]

On November 2, Mnet announced that Jeon So-mi and Park Bo-gum will be returning to host on Day 1 and Day 2, respectively, similar with last year's event.[2]

Criteria

All songs and albums that are eligible to be nominated must be released from October 22, 2022, to September 30, 2023.[3][4]

Nominees would be evaluated based on data provided by Circle Chart, Spotify, and YouTube with verification performed by PwC.[5]
