Suchitra Pillai, is an Indian actress, model, anchor, and VJ born in 1970. She was a graduate in electronic engineering but chose acting over engineering.[2] She had small roles in hit movies including Dil Chahta Hai (2001), Page 3 (2005), Laaga Chunari Mein Daag (2007), and Fashion (2008).

Film career

While in school in Mumbai, Pillai was very much interested in theatre, but she graduated in electronic engineering. She got married shortly after her studies and went to London. She chose acting as her career when In 1993 she was offered her first role for a French film Le prix d'une femme as well as a role in the English film Guru in Seven.

Pillai then returned to Mumbai and was offered the job as a veejay. In India, she first appeared in arranged marriage video by Apache Indian and then in Bally Sagoo's "Dil cheez hai kya" video. She appeared in television shows like Simply South, Red Alert, Hip Hip Hurray, Rishta.com and Cabaret Cabaret. Pillai will be seen in 2015 in the Hollywood film The Other Side of the Door, co-starring with Sarah Wayne Callis and Jeremy Sisto.[citation needed]

Dubbing career

In 2007, she was given the opportunity to dub-over a role in the Hindi dubbed version of American movie, Live Free or Die Hard, which it's her first film that she dubbed. She gave her Hindi-dubbing voice to Maggie Q's role as Mah Linh, while Mohan Kapoor who is an Indian actor and anchor, has given his Hindi-dubbing voice to Bruce Willis's role as John McClane, the main protagonist.[3]
