Joseph Francis Maloney was a machinist from Haverhill, Massachusetts who was nominated for President of the United States by the Socialist Labor Party, or SLP, in 1900. He was described at the time of his nomination as a "young, militant Socialist". Valentine Remmel was nominated as Malloney's Vice President.[1]
The Malloney/Remmel ticket received 41,000 votes over 23 states in the 1900 election, representing an electoral surge for the Socialist Labor Party.[2]
