Caption reads: "Covers 10 acres; cost over $24,000,000. Capacity of handling a quarter of a million patrons daily. Located between Canal and Clinton streets, fronting on West Madison and extending over Washington and Randolph to Lake Street. One of the finest monuments ever erected to the commercial life and spirit of the West." Postmark date: June 25, 1914; Postcard number: 1925."
