Acapoeta tanganicae is a species of ray-finned fish in the Cyprinidae family.
It is found in Burundi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tanzania, and Zambia.
Its natural habitats are rivers, freshwater lakes, and inland deltas.
It is threatened by habitat loss.
